The GIST: Experiencing playoff hoops withdrawal after yesterday’s night off? This weekend’s slate is the perfect cure.
Tonight’s games: The Eastern Conference's top-seeded Miami Heat (leading 2-0) travel to face the No. 4 Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. ET. The Heat continue to be on fire, routing the Sixers 119–103 in Wednesday’s Game 2.
- And while the Heat's Kyle Lowry couldreturn tonight, it doesn’t look so good for Philly’s superstar (and MVP candidate) Joel Embiid — who missed Games 1 and 2 with an orbital fracture.
- Over in the West, the No. 4 Dallas Mavericks (down 2-0) will need their home crowd to rally behind them at 9:30 p.m. ET vs. the No. 1 Phoenix Suns. Dallas star Luka Doncic (who netted a game-high 35 in Wednesday’s loss) can’t do it alone, after all.
Tomorrow’s games: The Eastern Conference's No. 2 Boston Celtics hit the road to face the No. 3 Milwaukee Bucks at 3:30 p.m. ET. It’s Boston’s Jayson Tatum vs. Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo (pronounced YAH-niss ah-det-oh-KOON-boh) — only one superstar can prevail.
- Then comes the spiciest matchup so far (tied 1-1), the Western Conference’s No. 3 Golden State Warriors host the No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies at 8:30 p.m. ET. Game 1 brought a last-second game-winner, Game 2 brought a suspension…what will Game 3 bring?
