Seattle: Up for grabs

December 25, 2020
The GIST: With a win in Sunday’s rematch against the LA Rams, the Seahawks could wrap up the NFC West title for the first time since 2016. If the win’s not on your wishlist, there’s still time to add it!

🏈Seahawks: The Hawks took the L when they faced their divisional foe earlier this season, with QB Russell Wilson taking six sacks. However, the Seahawks’ offensive line has improved as of late, considering Wilson hasn’t been sacked in two games. Keep it up.

  • Though we’d prefer head coach Pete Carroll letting Russ cook, if they rely on their run game, the Seahawks’ RBs are healthy. Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde didn’t play in the Week 10 matchup against the Rams and were both key contributors last week.
  • Lastly, a shout out to the seven players receiving Pro Bowl honors, which ties for the most selections in franchise history. Making the 12s proud.

🏀Storm: Speaking of accolades, Storm legend Lauren Jackson was nominated for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2021. Well deserved!

  • The three-time MVP and two-time WNBA champion is one of the greatest women’s basketball players in history. We miss seeing LJ rule the court with Sue Bird.

College: In the men’s college basketball world this week, No. 1 Gonzaga beat Northwestern State on consecutive nights. See if they can continue their winning ways against the still-defending national champions, No. 16 Virginia, on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
