⚾️MLB: No Cody Bellinger? No Mookie Betts? No problem. Even without their injured star outfielders, the Dodgers swept the Washington Nationals yesterday. Outfielder Zach McKinstry continued his hot start to the season, driving in all three runs in the Dodgers’ series finale yesterday. Unstoppable.

  • As for the Angels, yesterday’s rain-postponed game may have been a blessing in disguise after their miserable 15–1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday. The Halos hope to regroup against the Kansas City Royals tonight at 8:10 p.m. ET/5:10 p.m. PT.

🏀Lakers: Even without their stars, the Lakers beat the Brooklyn Nets and their Big Three Two by 25 points in Saturday’s chippy affair. Do we even need LeBron and Anthony Davis? Joking. Both players are on track to return from their injuries in the next three weeks, thank goodness.

Clippers: The Clippers’ decision to rest Kawhi Leonard in yesterday’s win over the Detroit Pistons makes sense (see: if the Clips’ hallmates can scrape by without their stars, so should the Clips.) It’s the first time this season Kawhi’s sat out for rest, though he’s participated in “load management” in the past. Health is wealth.
