The Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights are one win away from sweeps
The GIST: Unlike their ball-bouncing buddies, both NHL Conference Finals could end in sweeps in the coming days. That said, if these Stanley Cup Playoffs have taught us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected.
Western Conference Final: The Vegas Golden Knights brought the magic to Dallas last night, trouncing the Stars 4–0 en route to a 3-0 series lead. Guess what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. Now on the brink of elimination, the Stars will try to get their glow on when the puck drops for Game 4 in Dallas tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET.
Eastern Conference Final: The Florida Panthers continued to weather the playoff storm on Monday, topping the Carolina Hurricanes 1–0 to take a 3-0 series lead. And with tenacious Florida ’tendy Sergei Babrovsky boasting a whopping 67 consecutive save streak, the Wild Card Panthers look poised to complete the sweep at home tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
