Dallas: Wings win season opener
🏀Wings: The Wings made a statement in their season opener with a huge 94–71 win over the LA Sparks. And rookie Charli Collier made a statement of her own, notching a double-double in her WNBA debut with 11 points and 10 rebounds. No doubt about No. 1.
- We’ll have to wait until the weekend to see the Wings back in action. They’ll host the defending champion Seattle Storm on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT. Bring it on.
🏀Mavericks: The Mavs fell 136–121 to the Minnesota Timberwolves yesterday, but Friday’s 114–110 victory over the Toronto Raptors was the game that really mattered, clinching the Mavs’ second consecutive playoff appearance and avoiding the play-in tournament. HYFR.
- Enjoy a week of rest and relaxation before the anxiety returns on Saturday when the No. 5 seed Mavs’ face the No. 4 LA Clippers in the first round. Let the games begin.
🏈Cowboys: Breathe a big sigh of relief: quarterback Dak Prescott’s recovery from last year’s season-ending ankle injury is right on track, and coach Mike McCarthy is confident Dak will be healthy for training camp in July. Music to our ears.
