Chicago: Bulls playoff chances low
🏀Bulls: The Bulls’ playoff chances plummeted on Tuesday when — even with Zach LaVine’s 41 freakin’ points — Chicago lost 115–107 to the Brooklyn Nets. To add to the pain, the Indiana Pacers beat the Philadelphia 76ers, making the Pacers’ grip on the ninth-place position even more secure. Yikes.
- To capture the 10th seed in the East and earn a play-in spot, the Bulls need to win their remaining three games and hope that either the Pacers or the 10th-place Washington Wizards lose out. The chances aren’t zero, but they aren’t good either.
🎓🥍Notre Dame: The Fighting Irish women’s lacrosse team will compete in the first round of the NCAA Tournament tomorrow, their eighth tournament berth in the last nine seasons. Notre Dame, led by sophomore midfielder Kasey Choma and senior goalie Bridget Deehan, will take on the Robert Morris Colonials at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT. Let’s go, Irish!
⚾️MLB: The White Sox beat the Minnesota Twins 13–8 last night, marking the South Siders’ fifth straight win. While strong offensive showings and back-to-back wins over the Twins always feel good, the Sox will be feeling even better if they sweep the series this afternoon at 2:10 p.m. ET/1:10 p.m. CT.
- The Cubs lost their second straight game to Cleveland, falling 2–1 in 10 innings yesterday. The North Siders had plenty of chances to win it, but never capitalized. Guess the Cubbies can’t win every Wednesday night in Cleveland.
