🏈Cowboys: Tomorrow marks the NFL’s franchise tag deadline, a big date for the contract negotiations between Dak Prescott and the ’Boys, but our dramatic journey likely won’t end there. Unless the Cowboys can throw a hail mary and sign Dak to a long-term deal in the next 24 hours, here’s what will come next:
- The Cowboys will franchise tag Dak tomorrow. From there, the ’Boys technically have until July 15th to reach a long-term deal. Procrastination nation.
- But NFL free agency opens up on March 17th, meaning Dak could potentially still sign with another team if he gets a non-exclusive franchise tag and doesn’t sign with the Cowboys before the St. Patrick’s Day deadline. Let’s hope luck is on our side.
🏒Stars: The Stars exploded for five goals in their Saturday win over the Columbus Blue Jackets, but they couldn’t keep the momentum alive yesterday, falling 4–3 in a shootout loss to the Nashville Predators. You win some, you lose some.
- They’ll look to bounce back tomorrow when they take on Chicago at 8:30 p.m ET/7:30 p.m. CT. The Stars have played Chicago twice this season...and lost both in OT. Revenge is a dish best served ice cold.
