🏈Cowboys: After seeing last season’s 28th place defense in action, the ’Boys decided it was time for a change, drafting eight defensive players with their 11 picks. Former Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons is the star of the bunch and although the season doesn’t start ’til September, the defensive rookie of the year rumblings have already started.

🏀Mavericks: Luka Doncic joined a very exclusive club on Saturday. His 31 points, 20 assists and 12 rebounds lifted the Mavs to a 125–124 win over the Washington Wizards and made Doncic just the fourth (!!!) player ever to notch a 30-point, 20-assist triple double.

  • Luka continued being Luka last night, pouring in 30 points, but the Mavs saw their three-game win streak snapped by a 111–99 loss to the Sacramento Kings. Let’s see if Luka can bring back the magic tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT vs. the Miami Heat.

⚾️Rangers: Second baseman Brock Holt belted the game-winning single against his old team yesterday, lifting the Rangers to a comeback 5–3 victory and the 3-1 series win over the Boston Red Sox. Time to party like a Brockrockstar. The Rangers will ride that winning energy into tonight’s 7:40 p.m. ET/6:40 p.m. CT battle with the Minnesota Twins.

🏒Stars: Yeah, the Stars picked up a point in Saturday’s 1–0 OT loss to the Nashville Predators, but that won’t help them catch the Preds in the Central Division standings. Fifth-place Dallas is still on the outside looking in with just five games remaining. Here’s to a strong final push, beginning tonight at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT vs. the Florida Panthers.
