Dallas: Pocketful of sunshine

March 15, 2021
The GIST: North Texas will be well represented at March Madness, the Mavericks have won five of their last six, the Stars finally picked up a win and we get an extra hour of sunshine? It’s going to be a good week here in the Big D.

🏀Mavericks: After overcoming a slow start to the season and some recent injuries, the Mavs are finally healthy *knocks on wood* and playing strong. In their 116–103 win over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, Luka Doncic continued to be Luka Doncic, posting his 18th double-double of the season, while Kristaps Porzingis led the team with 25 points.

  • The Mavs will look to keep the momentum rolling in tonight’s 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT matchup with the LA Clippers. Dallas easily took the W when the squads squared off earlier in the season. Time to run it back.

🏒Stars: The Stars got a much-needed win yesterday with a 2–1 shootout victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets. In his first game back from a lower body injury, winger Alexander Radulov ended things with this nifty shot. Talk about making an entrance.

And we’re looking ahead to even more good news for the Stars. Goalie Ben Bishop and center Tyler Seguin will hopefully return in early April, and give this inconsistent Stars squad a boost. Can’t come soon enough.
