From college: Tomorrow’s Pac-12 Football Championship Game will still feature the USC Trojans; however, due to COVID-19 cases, their opponent is now expected to be the Oregon Ducks instead of the Washington Huskies. With the Ducks coming off two straight losses to weaker Pac-12 foes, the Trojans should finish the regular season undefeated.
- Sitting at No. 13 in the rankings, USC isn’t likely to make the four-team CFP, but they could play in a New Year’s Six bowl. Crosstown rival UCLA could also become bowl-eligible with a win over Stanford on Saturday. As for us, we’ll just be passing the chip bowl this weekend.
To the pros: Over in the NFL, the Rams should *knocks on wood* clinch a playoff berth on Sunday if they dispatch the winless NY Jets, as expected. The Chargers, on the other hand, are already eliminated from playoff contention.
- But that doesn’t change the Bolts’ desire to avenge last month’s crushing loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in tonight’s 8:20 p.m. ET/5:20 p.m. PT matchup.
