LA: Cruising like we’re on PCH
January 11, 2021
The GIST: What a weekend! The injury-plagued Rams defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Saturday’s wild-card playoff game and the Lakers rolled to another win. Casual.

🏈Rams: Even after QB John Wolford was sent to the hospital following a hard hit and regular starting QB Jared Goff (and his nine good fingers) was forced to step in, the Rams somehow managed to beat the Seahawks. We knew things looked good when the Rams led at halftime because head coach Sean McVay has yet to lose a game when up at the half. Amazing.
- Health will be key for the Rams in their upcoming Divisional Round matchup against the well-rested, and No.1-seeded, Green Bay Packers. While both WR Cooper Kupp (left game with knee contusion) and star defensive tackle Aaron Donald (left game with rib injury) are expected to play against Green Bay, we’re still anxious. Heal up.
🏀Lakers: The defending champions have quietly put together a league-leading 8-3 start, including last night’s 120–102 victory over the Houston Rockets. Things got v. fiery with a couple of first-half ejections, while LeBron James was electrifying with this unreal pass. Seriously, what can’t he do?
