Dallas: Hey now, you’re an all-star
March 4, 2021
The GIST: While our governor prematurely queues up some Future, we’re sticking with former Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant. Our masks can’t hide our smiles though, thanks to a Mavs’ win and some promising Cowboys news.

🏀Mavericks: Despite All-Star Luka Doncic missing the game with lower back tightness, the Mavs pulled out a 87–78 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder last night. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kristaps Porzingis came up clutch in Doncic’s absence, each scoring a team-leading 19 points.
- Don’t worry, we should still see Luka in action during All-Star weekend. Not only will Doncic compete in his second consecutive All-Star game, he’ll also once again enter the Taco Bell Skills Challenge. Grab a Baja Blast and check out the full schedule.
🏈Cowboys: After enduring more back and forth than we saw on The Bachelor: Women Tell All, there’s finally some good news surrounding the Cowboys’ negotiations with quarterback Dak Prescott. Dak — who suffered a season-ending ankle injury last year — is progressing well in his rehab and could be back to 100% by April. We truly love to see it.
- Adding to the good vibes, the latest reports indicate that contract talks between the two sides are “more productive than they have been.” Hey, we’ll take it.
