Mystics: Like we said, fearless leader (and quietly married!) Natasha Cloud re-signed with the Mystics yesterday, and we can’t wait to see her back on the court. But you know her return to the hardwood won’t stop her fight for social justice. Get a girl who can do both.

  • In a turn of events, Cloud mentioned yesterday that unrestricted free agent Emma Meesseman will not be playing in the WNBA this season.

WBB: The No. 7 Maryland women open their Big Ten tourney title defense today at 11 a.m. ET in a quarter-final clash against Nebraska. With an ensemble cast that could rival Ocean’s 8, the Terps have the nation’s highest-scoring offense with all starters averaging more than 10 points per game.

  • Plus, the Terps have freshman phenom Angel Reese — who had midseason foot surgery — coming off the bench. Something about scoring makes ’em feel like dangerous women.

MBB: The Maryland women’s team isn’t the only nationally ranked DMV squad playing in the postseason today. The No. 16 UVA men’s team will tip off their ACC Tournament against Syracuse at 12 p.m. ET, with No. 22 Virginia Tech taking on UNC at 9 p.m. ET. Ball is life.
